Steak! I can smell the steak is coming up next! Yet, that was only a smell of steak. A sirloin steak. That was only a hope, as I dreamed a bit before reached to the restaurant that has been chosen for our Food Review Assignment.
Rahsia Kitchen! All those secret still not revealed until I've chose a seat. The black and white themed of the restaurant, the outdoor ambiance of it, those quotes that eventually will reminds you a basic steps before having a meal in Islam, such a cozy place! Located in Batu Burok, Terengganu, the journey to the Rahsia Kitchen was really tiring. Of course you will feel the same if you 're not came from the same area. Cleaned, hygiene ambiance for the opened dining area. That's what I could express. You just can't imagine how come a cozy, peacefully restaurant is located in this area. There's a prayer room provided by the restaurant. The most important part is, the guest couldn't be bothered on where to pray as the facilities for prayers provided. Rahsia Kitchen is open from Saturday to Wednesday and starting from 1700 pm until 2330 pm.

Rahsia Kitchen serves Ala Carte menu with good reasonable and affordable price. Serving a quite decent meal for only RM6, it is really cheap for a restaurant which serve a good western food. As we came just for the assignment, so they prepared a buffet dinner for us for only RM25 per pax. Caesar Salad, Shepherd's Pie, Chicken Roulade and Sirloin Steak which served together with a choice of black pepper sauce and barbeque sauce accompanied with selected chef vegetables, Nyonya Laksa, Fried Rice, Chocolate Brownie with Caramel Butterscotch Sauce on top, and not to forget, Teh Tarik and "Air Drebar Lori" been served to us.
As the tummy starts to make a not-really-decent noise while looking at the buffet table, we vigorously went to the table to start taking the foods. Sirloin steak with a selected chef vegetables, chicken roulade, caesar's salad and the "teh tarik". all in one plate and I'm good to go to my table. The foods were looking so delicious. So for the first try, I had the sirloin steak. The steak is a bit dried or over cooked. For me, a medium well of steak should be okay. The sauce was good to cover up the overcooked steak. But the disappointment from the steak was totally covered as I tasted the Chicken Roulade. Stuffed with chicken ham and some cheddar cheese, with a combination of the barbeque and black pepper sauce, that was just perfect! I do loved to have salads and for that reason, the caesar's salad was good to go. When the ingredients all mixed up in a spoon, the taste I just can't tell anymore words. For the drink, it was an okay as there's no other choice for hot drinks.
For the second round, I had Nyonya Laksa and Chocolate Brownie. To be honest, the Nyonya Laksa was too rich with oil. And the taste just disappeared as the oil covered the original taste. It was a disappointment and again! The disappointment was made up until I had the chocolate brownie. It was sweet, but it's Brownies! So just tell me, who's not in the list for a good chocolate brownie? The caramel butterscotch sauce was perfect to accompany the brownie. I just feel so glad to have that brownies that night. It just made my night after tasting the nyonya laksa.
